Buttermilk gets gravy

Great news for families and skiers who love our “beginner’s” mountain, those who frequent the mountain for its exceptional terrain park and those who love to participate in the infamous XGames.

The dichotomy of Buttermilk as the home of the X Games as well as the best beginner skiing in Colorado might be confusing at first, but trust us, the “biscuit” can handle the diversity. The mountain is made up of 3 distinct areas: Tiehack, well-loved by uphillers throughout the day, main Buttermilk, and West Buttermilk, a mellow beginners paradise. Aspen Skiing Company hosts full moon dinners on Buttermilk select evenings throughout the winter.
